Misunderstandings

An accidental hug

The wall gave me a hug today,
-the big one, to which I
Whisper my things at nights-
Not to be kind or anything.
I just bumped into it,
And that's how it happened.
Would it be better to say it was more
A falling into arms of another,
Not a hug.

This is delicious and I read it several times to taste it's wonderful imagery again and again...lol Made me smile a lot, because it's just what I do each night, I sink into the wall, I am gone...I am happy and I can be touched by only one.

Hugs are the ultimate in loving free bees and this poem is a real treat. Well done on editors choice.

Smiling at you, with a cyber hug from

First welcome to the Bay. Second congratulations on receiving a Editor's Choice Award. Third, I enjoyed your clever poem dealing with the stumblings and bumblings that happen in the night. I have had my share of those accidental hugs too. I have had some bruises to prove it. : ) kathy
