Purple haze come veil me with
Obsessive creativity
Enrich my every waking hour, come
Tempt my vain proclivity.

Pessimistically I write down only those
Overtones which are currently apparent
Enhanced by the muse of pain
Tantalisingly & wretchedly I
Rapturously impart my soul,

Bluebells ( Acrostic challenge )

Bluebells, sleeping...
lie dormant as the earth
under winters ruling...
equinoctial—not in worth

blade oily urns of new birth.
Ever mystic in a shadowing,
lore of woodland, dearth!
Life anew—they spring...
Silent sea bells of mirth!

Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance ~ Carl Sandburg

shadow

priests of passion, preying
oracles of dream-tingle torture
emperors of nightmares which gnaw
talisman of titans, lingering singularly
sorcerers, ever haunting my soul

but I was the one who was still alive

Standing under the new sky
I began to mark my arm
Scratching out flowers turning into ravens
Tearing up patience until it became liquid
Eternity was only an instant
Rising up like fire behind your last breath

John Lambremont, Sr.
A big acrostic challenge
Powerful tool in the hands of a few
opens your eyes, lets you see things anew
expressed in feelings, heart-felt point of view
timorous squeaks from the turns of a screw
rigorous vision the whole cold night through
yesternight's blackness tomorrow's soft blues

pleasance of mind is what he hopes you'll find
opens his soul in the hope folks aren't blind
eyes of the dreamer transcend sense of time
message deflected by those so inclined

original thoughts that just cannot be taught
rejects upset him when his thoughts aren't bought

pray for the soul of the miserable scribe
open self-loathing and subject to jibes
every day keeping his faint hopes alive
trying to send you some interesting vibes

All of them are crafted so well. I'm afraid I wanted to keep my message straight and to the point. Shows me then, huh? Wonderful challenge from a wonderful poet.

To your health.
