as we are
here we are once again
surrounded by darkness,
surrounded by fear.
I can hear you breathing,
and yet no peace.
All that has been light has faded,
into the distance.
The fire that burned so bright
that forgave any fault
there is only so much a soul can take
a soul that opened and gave a chance...
...to change
to change for the better.
Is this my dream...
is this what i want to be a part of me?
for better for worse
or is it just physically?
raped my soul
of what i used to be.
where am i...where will i be?
denial no longer gives me sympathy.
you are still beautiful to me
and what we are
will always be a piece of me.
