Fibonacci Compilation

Here are the results of the Fibonacci Challenge, in chronological order. Although we know that Less Than I Ought did not write his "Never Alone" for this challenge, it was because of his poem appearing on the front page that this challenge came about, courtesy of John Lambremont, Sr. As such, we thought it only fitting to include his poem as the first one in this compilation. We hope you all enjoy these. We certainly did. Some are in syllable Fibonacci form, some are in word Fibonacci form.

Never Alone

In
Darkness
I sit
With my blanket
Alone, but warm and comforted
By the company of my dear dear friends

Not physically present, but still ever present in their love and protective shielding

Keeping me from harm with shear will power so that I may be... in darkness sitting alone with my blanket, comforted

Once

travelling along
electronic and offline paths
subtly propagating profligate profanities.

Bring home the ashes of those that have yet to be martyred before the cattle trains roll.

So,
why
do ants
try to be
like blank metaphors,
while riding the high hat cymbals,
as calm suns shine over hills of things off to the left?

The 21st time will spill before reaching the 21 images of our aunts.

Black Saturday Fibonacci

Dead
Still
Hollow
Emptiness
For those who have lost
My words hold no comfort for them
Yet if my soul wielded the power surely it would

Rebuild the hearts, homes and faith in humanity for those so desperately in need.

Fibonacci's effing fatuous magic fruit juice mix

Find
four
fresh fruits.
Five fingers
feel their fruity flesh,
follow their full-blooded features,
finally find a fresh flush of flowering flavours!
Fabulous feelings will fill you, finally making you frolic like furry ferrets,

fashionable fauns, fine felines, fervently fluttering flamingoes, flirty faeries, facetiously fumbling fuzzy filigree fig-leaves...

I
am
hungry
to undress
kiss, lick, and caress
my darling, delicious temptress.
How I long for your desire, your love, your tenderness...

forgotten Promises

Just
Once
I ask
You to hear
The voice of your heart
As it speaks of truths forgotten
That remind us of those who suffer in poverty:

And those children for whom the sunrise of tomorrow will never again shine upon.

Our Pledge to make poverty history, forgotten
Four years since, yet so long ago
Three seconds have passed
One more child
Has died
Right
Now

A big fib-onacci

Fear
ides
before March,
only days away,
new Fat Tuesday calls you to play;
ascends King Rex, mirth incarnate, to his idlers' throne;

captains and couriers of his Krewe will send down cascades of shiny beads and doubloons;

costumed revelers crowd the streets to catch carnival throws, drink steadily flows, hi-jinks in scanty clothes, all sink into debauchery's throes...

In the morrow, so much sorrow, Lent descends, must make amends, try to stir your sleeping friends, streets are swept, piled-up neglect, cops are surly: "Go home, girlie," bleary eyes too dry to cry, but calm your fears, King Obama's here...

Here's some fun. This is an abbreviated Fibonacci, for reasons which we will leave up to the imaginations of the readers ;-)

[Bombastic Member Praise

Pulsating prodigy of pleasure pure,
Harmonic horn of heat and handsomeness,
Arousal is your art, aimed to allure.
Let's love, let's laugh and long for nothing less,
Lotus of lush and lily of largesse!
Unfettered unicorn, unveil your urge,

Swirl up all senses with your silken surge!]

Nuts to Fibonacci

The
pistachio
is a
small tree native
to mountainous regions of Iran,

Turkmenistan, Turkey and western Afghanistan. It produces an

important culinary nut, which I happen to like eating during the Yuletide season.

It's a close second only to the almond, which, although popularly referred to as a nut, is actually, botanically, a drupe.

The Blues

Blues.
Pain.
Hope lives.
Music lives.
There is truth in pain.
Men, women, children feel the beat.
There is music in Hope,
And there is Truth in the Blues.
Even the whitest of white men
Is only three heartbreaks away
From being a bluesman.

The Blues was born
The day the verdant West African shoreline
Fell away from sight,
While the overloaded ship
Slipped away from the horizon.

The only way the magic of the Blues will ever die out
From the musical language of this world we share
Is if by some small chance the power of love
Becomes greater than the love of power
And the world knows nothing but peace.
