Fallen hero by M.A.Meddings

Fallen Hero.

By M.A.Meddings.

It was not so much her beauty,
That defeated me,
But the way,
In the silent hours, she touched me,
Sending such body tingling delights,
That took my mind away,
From the sense and rigid doctrine,
Of a meagre life.
Then in her kiss,
I became enthralled,
A star,
A fool,
A fallen hero,
Lead out the rider less horse.

Ah yes the first love we all remember with such sadness...it never really quite leaves us does it?

Another wonderful penning Michael,
