An acid day

An empty bar
An acid day
A final tear
that lost its way

A photograph
torn in two
A dirty ashtray
The colour blue

A tortured thought
A butchers knife
No escape
The price of life

So I left your name
on the window pane
And took my heart
to meet the rain.

a bit of a heartwrenching scene this hehe... i had in mind like a black and white movie of this guy at a bar, completely heartbroken to a point of considering doing something radical, but in the end he just forgets about it, and steps out of the bar with only his heavy heart, leaving everything behind (photo, hope etc)... it's a rainy night time shot, on the deserted street... walking away alone with his ache.... really saw it like a little movie clip this one... there goes my mind ;) aside the fact i got this vivid scenario in mind from reading your text, i really liked the rhythm in your lines here... enjoyable to read your stuff :) *hug* xx

Ah, liked the rythm in this write. Some parts resonate with a poem I wrote some time ago. Found myself clicking this poem several times to reread :) Such a wonderful site, this!
