Er, rainy day thoughts.
The whys and wherefores
Of certain, or should it be,
Uncertain things?
Like are young fountain pens
Called 'inklings'?
Do dandy male swans
Wear cygnet rings?
Why are trees silent
Despite having a bark?
How many gophers were
Inside Noah's Ark?
Do crabs in towns
Use the sidewalk?
Do non-cheese eaters
Eat biscuits and chalk?
Do priests vote by making
A cross?
Do they also file tax returns
In prophet and loss?
Do entomologists vote
By making a tick?
Do light bulbs get on
A candlemaker's wick?
Do golfers address their balls
So they can get them back?
Why do smokers want to know
If I have a light mac?
All the above questions tease,
So answers on a postcard, please!
