How fragile is love?

Snowflake

To give, to love, to hold out a caring hand.
Upon a sea of troubles does do our souls drift.
Man and woman share the spoils of life's fair land.
But that beach shaped by tides and moon may rift.

Love if fragile, may be dormant, may never have lived,
But grant it life, nurture it with feeling, care and thought,
To share one's self with one, with feeling, commit then give,
A total witness to love like a snowflake as it falls fears nought.

So true sid, love is fragile but does respond beautifully to nurturing in equal measure. Love frees us....just like the snowflake.

A lovely read, my only crit would be, that 'does' on the second line. Do you need it I wonder?

Smiling at you

I like this. The thought of love so fragile, akin to a falling snowflake, is a pretty cool metaphor I think. Excellent.
