Love's Lotto

They say you've got to be in it to win it
But with all methods tested and tried
Instead of opening another mystery box
I'd rather a ticket to ride

I've tried powerball and superdraws
No ten million jackpot for me
Lost at bingo with grannies at the RSL
But I did like the devonshire tea!

I've had my dabbles on the pokies
And those coupons that you scratch
Put my heart and purse on the line
Just to find that perfect match

Seems life is like a roulette wheel
And I'm so tired of crapping out
I'll be elsewhere when my numbers are up
Chance and luck, what it's about

So I'll stay right here on the couch
Think I've used up my last token
Better a lonely crank with cash in the bank
Than a player, all broke and broken

Bull! You've always been a winner, kiddo. Still I'll give you props for an interesting metaphor. :-)
