a happy ending.
where are you mummy?
the little girl screamed
mummy,mummy,where are you?
the little girl screamed through the darkness
im here mummy,im here,
she kept screaming at the top of her lungs,
where are you mummy?
she was crying,
she'd never been so scared before,
her teeth were clashing together from the cold,
she was alone,on the edge of the pavement,
wearing just her mothers coat,
that her mother had rapped around her that morning,
when she left,
she promised to be back before dark,
but there was the girl,
alone in the cold,
she cauld hear breathing,
it wasnt her mum,
she was crying,
mummy,where are you?
she called out again.
but then she heard a scream,
her mothers scream,
her mothers final scream.
the breathing she cauld hear got nearer,
she felt someone grab hold of her foot,
it wasnt her mum,
it was a man,
she screamed untill she cauldnt scream anymore,
mummy,where are you?
she wispered and then shut her eyes,
ready for whatever would come next,
she knew her mother was dead,
she was ready to die too,
tears were stuck in her tightly shut eyes,
she thought she saw an angel,
it held out its hand,
she felt so safe and happy,
the angel was her mum,
they were surounded by a white light,
as they walked off in to the gates of heaven together.

An angel
