Fifty is crossed, By ill-health I am tossed, By medicines I am bossed, So philosophy is caused.

Aging Is Damaging

In life has come a void
But, life I cannot avoid

I am greatly confused
Joy is to me refused

A strange contentment
Is given appointment

May be due to aging
Still I am managing

By defeats I was hit
I have got zero profit

But, life cannot be ended
It has to be defended

Family needs my presence
They are full of innocence

Only when I now struggle
I can make them giggle

For them only top-priority
It is my incumbent duty

Only when I make sweats
Peace of mind family gets

So to work hard I decide
God will be at my side

Let Him take me as per fate
I mind not becoming late.

Aurora Borealis
These are words of wisdom. Why do we have to age?...Nice poem!

Some things erode, not all of them bad. It is comforting to know that the sharp edges that cut have been dulled.

Damaging indeed. But I am reminded of lines from Tennyson's "Odysseus": "Some work of noble note may yet be done / Not unbecoming men who strove with gods." Welcome!
