I read this poem: "Child of the Night", it clutched my heart, I wrote these lines in great anguish; I don't know why? But I would like to share them with you...

Dispel the Darkness!

So much you store inside,
So much misery, so much strife,
So much did the big dark world,
Contribute to your black night!
Hard cold concrete for bed,
A crumb or two, instead of bread,
A worn torn shawl to keep you warm,
Craving for some human warmth,
A smile of kindness, a look of compassion,
Any thing acting as a ray of hopeful fashion
Only prying eyes of evil regression,
Nothing in them of soulful impression...
A child of the night, aimlessly groping
In the dark, recklessly floating on
The hard, cold, rough and black- dark tarmac!!!!!
My heart goes out to you my dear child
Of the dark!!!!

(((((((((Hugs dear Child of the Night)))))))))

((((((((Your dear friend of the light))))))
((((((((With hopes to dispel some darkness)))))
(((((((((To bring some light to your dark & gloomy night)))))))
(((((((((To keep afloat some hope?)))))))))
(((((((((So that in the dark, you don't have to grope)))))))

Dispel the Darkness, Child of the Night
Dispel the Darkness, Child of the Night

I am the child of the night but surrounded by the Halo light :) In the darkness i discovered the light and in the light i discovered the darkness.

I am the child of the night

I am glad when the less fortunate people are remembrered. But I think everyone who gets to read this poem ought to do something more that just remember them......next time you see a "child of the night", go out of your way to bring the light of day into his night....

I do not know about your friend, but, for example, I love MY Darkness and I have no need to dispel it...
