Lift Me Up

Lost in a nightmare,
where I can't see
my future,
It's so unclear, running,
trying to see
the light

So can you help me,
lift me up,
to the stars

'cause this road is
anything but simple,
twisted
like a river
And full of obstacles
to overcome,

But I'm still here
And I can see
a light

I've been given hope
That the day
when the fight is won
has just begun

So can you lift me up,
turn the dark
to light?

And turn the
ashes into flames
'cause I have overcome
more than words
will ever say

so lift me up,
lift me up to the stars
and let me fly

I feel an underlying sense of hope in these words, which is good. I guess life will always present obstacles to overcome or to move around. So all we can do is to make a collection of all the good moments and bid the others farewell. Enjoyed the read.
