Although change is imminent, and the roads are written before us - we can always take a shortcut. -- "Watch the world go by - then catch up!" -- 4th March 2011.

A remnant.

Remnants are recognised, they are still our homes,
Folded into society that only the forgotten know.
Like a sublime spirit, pendulate side by side,
Require to make the night tired, and don't just try.

Prevail to the age of tear sodden attire,
"Something beautiful indeed, sire."

I still recognise after all the years of turmoil,
That those around you will always stay loyal.
A face of benevolance, fixing into the eyes of death,
Grimacing at the last of us, taking its final breath.

"Only if I were to go" said the sire,
"But with a smile gone, so has our fire".

Refining the perfection, even the homeless can own,
Troubled minds still hang about, they can't let go.
Like an impulse, run that forbidden road,
Just make sure you cant ever be followed.

"Watch the world go by - then catch up!"

This is a thoughtful written poem with a beautiful rythm, almost like text in a song. Very good job!
