I was thinking about masks, how many hide from the world,or fears that hold them back from the greatest love of all " LOVING YOURSELF"

Hide From The World

Do you hide your true identity from the world
Because you fear no one will cry when your gone
or remember you when you die

Do you where a mask to hide who you really are
Do you keep a smile upon your saddened soul
Is your heart locked away, never letting anyone
love you

Everyone where's a mask to hide who they are
I had many mask's of different shades of color
Emotion and motion

I kept one mask, the one that was hidden
My true identity to be me

I don't hide from the world today
Never should anyone else
For when we wear our masks for to long
We forget who we really are...

An excellent piece.
The peace dove respects those who seek to cast off the mask and let their true beauty shine.
In her case, however, 'sometime too hot...'. And so she must yield to convention a little for the sake of peace. Yet true friends accept all.
I enjoyed especially the 'different shades of color'.
Applause!
