Here's Egg In His Face

The waiter never flinched
But his eyebrows upped an inch
As I ordered my breakfast wish
A tasty egg-y dish

"An omelet loaded with onions please
Hold the mushroom and hold the cheese"
The waiter reacted with loud guffaws
Laughing through his wide spread jaws

An onion omelet, he never heard of
So naively thought it completely absurd of
Me to order this weird-o breakfast course
Which egged on his laughter until he was hoarse

Laughing hyenas don't know where it's at
I'd have thought the waiter was smarter than that
But I didn't think it for very long
Since onion omelets proved my thinking wrong

If you're talking about red onions, I'm in. I'd eat them with almost anything.
