Siren

Like a winter's day,
you plague my soul.
From the window,
it feels so beautiful.
From the other side,
so cold and dead.

I'm your rubber boots,
you use me when it's rainy,
you forget about me
when it's sunny.

I'm like a ball,
you're like the ground.
When I get away from you,
I come crashing down again.

The sirens song I follow,
my bitterness I swallow.

I think that this was rather original! Comparing yourselves with the rubber boots and all...I liked the poem!

a friend being careless with your emotions is how i perceive this poem of yours... its been mentionned already but comparing yourself to a pair of rubber boots really struck me as a perfect description... it stood out for me as well... bitterness, deception, and hurt powerfully seep through your words here... beautiful expression, you reach my heart yet again... thanks for sharing, sincerely :)

later...xx
