Rich In Peace

Rich people have money to spend
Own corporations break nations
On the wheel and deal with politicians
Eavesdropping ciphers, lapdog technicians,
Rich people look at you funny act real/phoney
Always have the most expensive clothes
Accessories after the deed is done and buried
Wonder if Rich people get as worried
As the rest of us often do.

Edward Arlington Robinson wrote a poem in 1897, "Richard Cory", answering your poem's question. In the 1960's, Simon and Garfunkel made it into a song. You can read the poem at http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/174248 and hear the song at http://youtu.be/HNmfhCbpbJU .
