You know the type; 15 years your junior, fresh out of uni, trying to tell everyone how to do their job... Hell right? Until her boat came in....

Little Fish, Big Fish

She's floundering now
Flapping like a hapless fish
I smile wryly...
Knowing if I was to appear merciful,
Toss her back into the water,
She would still most likely drown
The swim bladder has burst
Perhaps from rising too quickly...

Daily snapping at smaller tails
With head full of swell
And sharp, gleaming teeth
Chasing schools of white bait...
And now here she lies,
Throwing scales upon the desk
The office shark caught
In her own beloved corporate net
