At times

There was a time when I thought to myself
"I will never put up with someone who thinks i deserve less than I actually do"

I thought people get smarter over the years, but I find myself, thinking back, and wondering why the heck did I ever change my mind?

Perhaps we learn to compromise and love deeper, but of course, you are right and we need to never forget to value ourselves always.
