morning i guess

with devious premeditation
i swallow my meds
look out at the snow

in 'The Guardian' an analysis of Kant
as soggy as my corn-flakes

i read for a while (The Sleepwalkers)
caress a blues from my PRS
laugh at the instability of memory
and at self-serving memes

7:15 AM

sometimes one must just be
who one is
and wait for the rest of the day

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
our lives are not dissimilar. with a few variations i could have written this poem. substitute "nytimes" for "the guardian," substitute "martin" for "prs," substitute "poetic form & poetic meter," for "sleepwalkers," and there u go. right down to the blues. 12 bars in E, as a matter of fact.

the dude abides.
the dudette abides, too.
