That First Kiss
For so many years before we metI thought I got along just fine.
Since we shared that first kiss,
You've stayed on my mind.
You're there when I'm awake.
You're there in my dreams
Morning, noon and nighttime
All always in between.
That first kiss really thrilled me.
That first kiss, oh so fine.
I had no idea what I'd missed
Until that first kiss was mine.
I couldn't wait to see you again.
Time seemed to move so slow.
I'd close my eyes and see your face,
You set my heart aglow.
You filled my soul with laughter
You're a blessing from above.
You're all I was ever after
You filled my heart with love.
That first kiss really thrilled me.
That first kiss, oh so fine.
I had no idea what I'd missed
Until that first kiss was mine.
I have had many first kisses
All throughout my past.
Some I don't remember,
I hope this will be my last.
Not one has ever hit me
Anywhere near as hard as this
My life will never be the same
Since we shared that first kiss
