Childhood Memory

A little butterfly, going flower

to flower: that's the image in mind.

A beautiful little butterfly,

so colorful and mesmerizing.

Its little wings, beating to the

wind, fighting against the force.

Little creature, so nimble, and

graceful in its way, its beauty.

A sigh of contentment in my heart,

I observe its trajectory with delight.

A determination worth of admiration...

Little butterfly, going flower to flower.

This is a very nice, little poem. I really enjoyed it. How can you write so well with music playing?

Living here in Florida, I'm fortunate enough to be able to see butterflies all year long. I never tire of watching them. Very lovely poem about a moment in time.

As one butterfly to another, a kinship. Childhood is fleeting, and didn't we flit through it?

Lovely. Wistful.

For some abstract raison I infer a b&w film
scene of this vision underscored by ominous
indecipherable chaotic figures that loom
over childhoods innocence.

This really is so beautifully and delicately written. Such a lovely childhood memory full of knowing and wonderment, expressed so warmly from the heart. A most enjoyable read. It took me right there into that special moment.
