What have you done:
Given voice to silence,
Wings to unspoken thoughts,
Face to emotions deeply masked;
Solid darkness now made bright
When words unutterable take flight
Making them no longer alone.

Oh yes, what is said cannot be unsaid. I was reminded of this after reading your poem:

I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." -Maya Angelou.

Im not suggesting you're words are forgettable, but poetry makes us feel, and that experience is unique to the reader.
