The Time That I Was Here

I've put more years behind me than are waiting up ahead.
Yet I'll keep right on living until they say I'm dead.
I have no intentions of ever slowing down.
When it's time for me to go, I don't want to see a frown.

Celebrate my time on earth.
Dance until the dawn.
My life is not over,
I'm just moving on.
Smile a lot, laugh out loud
And raise a glass of cheer.
Be happy that you knew me
In the time that I was here.

Some folks go through life dreading the things to come.
Few regret the things they did, more what went undone.
Keep looking for adventure, never shy away.
Live life like you're dying, every single day.

Celebrate my time on earth.
Dance until the dawn.
My life is not over,
I'm just moving on.
Smile a lot, laugh out loud
And raise a glass of cheer.
Be happy that you knew me
In the time that I was here.

Make the most of every day. It may just be your last.
Some days can seem to linger, while years fly by so fast.
Be the best you can be, don't give up on your dream.
Focus on what is your prize, no matter how extreme.

Celebrate your time on earth.
Dance until the dawn.
Your life is not over,
You're just moving on.
Smile a lot, laugh out loud
And raise a glass of cheer.
Be happy that you knew life
In the time that you were here.

Bravo. Well said. Why dwell on when we are going to die when it can happen at any time. Live and enjoy!
