A Magical Night
In a smokey ol' barroom, she walked through the door.A beauty like this one, I had not seen before.
She sat right beside me and ordered a drink,
The smell of her perfume made me start to think.
The jukebox was playing a slow country song.
I asked her to dance. she said "what took you so long?"
I held her in my arms as we swayed to and fro.
There was something about her I just could not let go.
It was a wonderful evening, a magical night.
I had a feeling everything was just right.
Yes, she was a vision, it was love at first sight
On this wonderful evening, this magical night.
We talked through the evening. We made love through the night.
She kissed me goodbye with the first morning light.
I never got her number, she didn't tell me her name.
But that night with her has been etched in my brain.
It was a wonderful evening, a magical night.
I had a feeling everything was just right.
Yes, she was a vision, it was love at first sight
On this wonderful evening, this magical night.
I went back to the barroom. asked if anyone knew
That beautiful lady in that silk dress of blue.
They said we call her Christmas, she comes in once a year.
Spends the night with a stranger then she disappears.
It was a wonderful evening, a magical night.
I had a feeling everything was just right.

On this wonderful evening, this magical night.
Here it is a year later and I'm in the same bar.
I know it's a long shot but I had to go this far.
Will she make an appearance? I guess God only knows.
Now this love struck cowboy is sure hoping she shows.
Another wonderful evening, another magical night
I'm hoping that my hunch will turn out just right.
Will this beautiful vision make her annual show?
Will she want this ol' cowboy? I'm sure only she knows.
