Self-Harm as a String Solo

2024-03-14
Wow, this one's difficult to comment on, but at the same time seems to merit comment. There is sort of an eerie, beautiful sensation that draws the reader in here. I particularly like: 'I have made an art of hurting Myself, and art should not be tamed.'

Mature love

Really beautiful..

DEAR DIARY

2024-03-14
Oh, how I can relate to this!

hey mama - hey sis

2024-03-09
Beautifully written. I especially love the fifth and last stanzas!

When Songs of Joy Are Sung, Deep and Full-Throated

2024-03-09
I could spend a whole lot of time reading and rereading this. Well, I have. Very enigmatic!

Playtime 2

Nicely done!

I Go In Search Of It

2024-03-09
So very beautiful..

Mirror

Wow. Really well done. Those final three lines really bring this to a powerful close.

The log boat.....

2024-03-05
My mind kinda moves all over the place while reading this. I find it puzzling. It actually makes me a bit uncomfortable, lol. Really nice writing. I can’t shake the image of the hollowed out tree-trunk!

REINCARNATION

2024-03-03
Very nice, lol!

Tonight

2024-02-24
Beautifully written, with such a striking undertone. Makes me want to get out and spend some time with the moon tonight.

hybrid war

I haven't even gotten to the reading of this and I gotta tell you I love your opening comment. My mind constantly does that with words.. There are so many patterns that it's beautiful and overwhelming at the same time. Anyway, now I will finish reading, lol.

airbnb

Yep. We work and work to keep our empty houses looking clean and shiny. Maybe one day water will be free?

On a Corner in Provincetown

2024-02-22
Really well written. "His stand-in" is a nice touch- disgusting but appropriate. Unfortunately, it's all too often that these self appointed prophets stand on soapboxes and spew hate, instead of doing something that might actually draw people to God.

Theme for a dream

2024-02-22
Beautiful..

FLIBBERTIGIBBET

2024-02-22
I feel like you've just described me, lol. I talk a lot and even get frustrated with myself for oversharing. We can be flibbertigibbets together.

a reluctant bureaucrat

I'm quickly becoming a fan of your writing, Sona. It seems everything you share I want to bookmark, lol.

will you watch telly with me, please ?

2024-02-22
I really enjoyed this one. It's bold, but still has a softness. I love the use of the language, personally. It grabs the reader, flows easy, and then closes with a similar energy to the opening. And there's something else. Is there an urgency? Anyway, this is a bookmark for me. Well done.

WABBIT

Is this really how you're feeling? If so, I hope you feel better soon, Ken!

ABSQUATULATE (Corrections)

2024-02-19
This one doesn’t seem to hold your usual playfulness, Ken. There’s a soft sadness.. Words fail me in the commenting here, but as always, I’ve enjoyed reading your work.

a mime that likes dialogue

2024-02-19
‘i'm a mime that likes dialogue
with a tongue that keeps being bitten
i punish myself in that way; in fear of being wrong
my thoughts only have me as a witness’

Wow. Sometimes when reading I suddenly feel very ‘not alone’ in this big, wide world. This is one of those times. Very nice

DONNYBROOK (Additans)

2024-02-19
Donnybrook, eh? I’m gonna make it my goal to fit this into conversation some time this week! Or perhaps I’ll write a poem!

Who, dear heart

2024-02-19
Beautiful. The rich imagery of the dark, almost dangerous deep of the heart, and the quiet longing here, is a stirring combination. Also, I love the ending! It closes with hope and a whisper of life!

The Summering Earth

2024-02-17
Beautifully written.. I’m thankful that you chose to be that historian.

It makes me remember a time when I argued with a lady over what truly constitutes a miracle. She believed that even life itself is not a miracle, that birth was a commonplace event. Whether seemingly commonplace or not, I believe we’re surrounded by miracles. We just have to open our eyes.

Melancholia

2024-02-17
“There is a Melancholia*
rising
in all of us”

Perfect ending to this, and true.

Fun fact: I stayed up and watched the movie the other night. It has haunted me ever since!

aubade

2024-02-11
I love the title, the opening line, and the sort of double edge that this little poem holds. Really well done.

KENNED

2024-02-11
This one made me smile. I ken it, and I like it!

JEJUNE

2024-02-08
Thank you for helping me learn a new word! Well, actually, for helping me learn a couple of new words, lol. Love this one.

Death of a Friendship

2024-02-08
This is powerfully written. I can feel it as I read it. I’ll grab my teddy bear and join you. Really well done.
