Love at first sight

When first I saw your face,
I felt you were the One.

Your beautiful cornflower eyes
Gazed at me, captivated me.

Your black hair, so glossy,
Was sleek, and beautiful.

And I knew my life
Was yours, unto death.

I touched your face,
You trembled at my touch:

I took you in my arms:
From that moment on

I was your slave.
For better, for worse.

And as you clung to me
You purred, contentedly.

Wonderful. Gotta watch out for those "cornflower eyes" :)

Yes, I see the connection between this well-wrought poem and mine.
