Are we now immune to news of horrors of death world wide?
America news of the latest mass showings
Another day in America another shooting many dead many wounded
Just another day
In the U K, each day news of a stabbing or stabbings each day
Just another day
Bombs death wounded in Afghanistan almost daily
Has the news made us immune
Just another day somewhere in the world people shot blown to bits
Just anther day same old same old repetitive news
I weep tears of despair for all of human kind

Ken, my first response is to agree with you... but then I stop and consider that it is you and so many others who give voice to these awful circumstances and demand we hold them up to look at for what they are, unvarnished with cynicism; these acts of a depraved minority and I begin to feel hope.

Thank you and those like you who still hold the beacon of outrage, humanity, dignity, ethics, morality high during this distraught period. Thanks to you all, GOOD will ultimately prevail.

No. We are not immune. Each is a tragedy. Each evokes feelings of loss and despair (as you wrote) and hopelessness.

I've come to think it is hopeless.
