I hope this helps you to understand how serious the historical Le Noche Triste, the night of sorrow, was. Aztecs were coveted, murdered, and stolen from. The Spaniards, however, had nothing lost or done to them... until they did what was wrong.

Le Noche Triste

One sad night,
Le Noche Triste,
an army
of conquistadors,
conquerers,
attacked
having
no mercy
on a single
Aztec.
That sad night,
Le Noche Triste,
children
were left
as orphans.
That sad night,
Le Noche Triste,
infants
were left
to die
with
no one
to care for them.
That sad night,
Le Noche Triste,
the
conquistadors,
conquerers,
killed
thousands...
maybe millions...
of
innocent
people.
In return,
Aztec people
boldly faced
the armed soldiers,
conquistadors,
conquerers,
Spaniards.
They were...
surprised by
the attack.
They had
to flee for
a safer place.
Across rivers,
across channels,
across causeways.
But...
their armor
and...
their...
no,
the Aztecs'
gold
and treasure...
weighed them down.
And they
perished
into
the depths of the sea.
Spaniards,
Conquistadors,
conquerers
had...
one,
just one,
night of sorrow.
Aztecs had
an
endless night
of sorrow that lasted...
a lifetime...
forver.
