What do you need to be happy by Damyqn Damyqnov traslated by Ann Wood

What do you need to be happy?
What more do you want, greedy mortal?
You need so little to be full
outside - a morsel of bread, a dream - inside!
And nothing else. The other is death,
false greed, empty thirst.
Let the dream be soft; the bread hard!
These will only delight you.
Don't ask for anything more! Remember:
man is so pitiful,
that as much as earthly goods
yes, there are, they always look small to him!
What else do you miss, brother?
Do you feel lonely and robbed?
I think you have everything. Just not a dream?
You seem to have forgotten the sweetness of the bread; why do they torment sorrow and hunger?
If so, know - there is one cure:
give yourself whole to this poor world!
Get poor again! That he is the richest
in his distribution, the man!
