Is a doppelgänger a part of you? Or is it independent of you?
Friendly or an adversary?

Today I Saw my Doppelgänger

Today I saw my doppelgänger walking in the park
We dared exchange a wave, in silent recognition
I think that we’re estranged

Once connected like a picture and its negative
Our film has faded, the negatives torn
And one splits into two

Today I saw my brother walking in the park
I know him well, not like the other
We’ll never be estranged

A really intriguing, questioning piece.
