An Ocean Drenched in Winter
I stare intently
at the coast to
memorize the bleakness
Of blackened winds and
icy waves that swarm
along the shore
My face, my ears,
my eyes all sting
frozen in the northern chill
I marvel at the solitude
of an ocean drenched
in winter
