About a boy who thought he had lost

LITTLE VOICE

When I went walking out one day,
Along a beach down south.
I saw a youngster
Weeping by the tide
Just crying to himself.

This story he whispered to me,
Although not from choice.
He said he couldn't find it anywhere,
he'd lost his little voice.

He went out for a while,
playing by the sea.
"It didn't want to go out,
So it ran away from me".

he really felt quite sad,
For he knew that he had lost.
The only friend that he had had,
The only friend he'd got.

He hunted for his little voice,
It was nowhere to be found.
he looked for it everywhere,
He went from town to town.

"So if you think you've found it.
Don't frighten it away,
Please tell it how I miss it,
It might come home to stay".

"Please will you help me find it,
I'll pay at any cost.
Its the only one I have,
Without my voice I'm lost".

I replied," you silly boy,
It really was a crime.
Your little voice was hiding,
Inside you all the time".
