Embrace

In the middle of nowhere
Once upon a time we met
Lights from a faraway city cast
Ghost like images across our shadow forms
Reaching for each other finding no one there
We closed
Our eyes
And slept

Perhaps it was but a dream of thought
Conjured from the nothingness of empty place
Or was it the end of the world we felt
Locked inside our lost embrace
