Dream of Paradise

Last night a dream of Paradise came drifting through an open window
All the people of the world were safe and free
Even wise ones spoke in complete harmony
Cares and woes were gone, Peace arrived wrapped up in a ribbon and a bow
It was as though the clouds were masks
The sky a lovely sea of pure vaccine
No work to do, no dreary tasks
The very thought of it, just so obscene
Impossible to even imagine
Anything quite so serene
Like a perfect economic engine
Powered by a jelly bean

Paradise, was just a dream ~

This is a poem with a sting in its tail (tale?). I begins so nicely - so inspiring to think of a better world. But of course it is only a dream. The lines:

Like a perfect economic engine
Powered by a jelly bean

are so damned good - a well deserved commendation!

This is wonderful, I loved reading it! It flows nicely and you managed to fill my mind with visuals using just a few words.

But such a wonderful dream! Like this poem.
Now how can we make it reality? Basic Income?
Don't get me going on this! :)
