Sitting under the redbud tree

Sitting under the redbud tree

heavy with bloom.

Bees are sipping nectar,

buzzing wonderfully.

The breeze is soft and gentle,

carries birdsong.

Peace flits here and there

like a butterfly, lands momentarily.

I liked the ambiguity inherent in this poem - peace, however lovely is momentarily.

It goes like this when I read ...

Read read read,
Smile,
Breathe in,
Breathe out
And relax

it made me feel like a picture

This is a lovely breath of fresh air, this week here in the U.K. it has felt very warm and Spring like.

This is a very nice poem. Spring hasn't been nice here. The redbuds have barely gotten going. Even the forsythias are laying low.

Such a nicely done, and charmingly descriptive poem. I fear the thought that went through my head after reading this might somehow spoil the mood your words set... but think this I did: If only the peace would flit 'there' eh?
