Poeteers come and go,
Faster than we know.
Some stay collecting thoughts,
While others are overwrought.

Some are poets overnight,
Flights of fancy take flight.
Some feel there doing wrong,
Write a couple then there gone.

While others feel better inside,
They no longer need to hide.
In perpetuity poems forever last,
Memories linger from the past.

If you need to get it off your chest,
Then writing poems is the best.
To share your scribbles with others to,
Knowing they won't look down on you.

You will find poeteers will not laugh,
As you try to perfect your craft.
If you're disabled or dyslexic too,
Then no one will look down on you.

If you find you have a little voice,
Decide you don't wish to, Out of choice.
Why not try to make amends,
And join us on poetbay my friend.

Reading the comments before this, I can understand people thinking that this poem of yours has a simple, yet heartfelt, 'thing' about it. But it is lovely to read your feelings about writing poetry and your encouragement of it.
The purists will talk about couplets, haiku, and the like, but I believe poetry needs to come from the heart and mind of the writer, who should have the artistic freedom to express themselves as they see fit. Bravo!
