Ernest Hemingway my old author I started to read around 11 knew perfectly well when he had written a good sentence. I don't know if it is relevant cause I experienced the same thing with no real success but though success is not always about being published or televised when the price is high. I went then into a process of justifying myself, pitying myself sometimes.
Then about poetry. Poetry is a meeting of old people that decide when there is poetry. Let the flow comes out your verve...before trying to put it into a cell, that would be my recommendation to myself and you helped me to define it!

I was thinking along the same lines as Allen, you're musical by nature and that comes out in your poetry, and it is poetry. There is always a strong sense of rhythm and precision in your work.
