While writing this we found the wife's sister had lost her fight with cancer. I cannot in my heart find the right words for her.

NOT OURS BUT PART OF THE FAMILY

I don't feel I can write,
Don't feel like I should.
Should write about daisy,
A lovely little dog.
Only if I could,
We have to put her to sleep,
She's only had six year's.
Her passing will make,
The angels weep.
I wish that I could join her,
If only I could sleep.
She has two more weeks,
For friends and family,
To play and say goodbye.
While I just hide myself away,
While she just lays there.
And goes too sleep,
Goodnight daisy.
Thanks for sharing Marie,
I've nothing more to say.

Sorry Alan. We have been there; and I admire your fortitude, that you can put off the inevitable for another two weeks.
