The Mountain

Yes, i look at these snow peaks

but i dont understand them

i have seen a glaciar

and many a mountain peaks from a far

and mountain walls from near

but never a snow capped mountain.

 

so i look at it

but the seeing escapes me

for they do not behold me.

Well done, a poem that has depth. And sometimes - living in a flat land, when I see clouds on the horizon I think of them as mountains.
