It is Christmas by Ann Wood

In the run-up to Christmas, I usually quiet down.
I stop for a moment, close my eyes, and step off that endless merry-go-round of work, tasks, and commitment.
In the midst of all this hectic Christmas present fuss, I'm reminded that the most beautiful things in our lives don't cost money.
Happiness lies in the cherished moments of sharing, quiet coziness and timelessness spent with loved ones. In the gifted smile, in the given love and the small gestures of love and support.
Christmas is to bring us back down to earth when we have set off on a path other than that of the soul.
To restore our values and show us that the most important thing is to remain good and authentic, despite the pain of life's blows.
To carry in ourselves the longings and faith for a brighter life.
Let's have the courage to dream!
Christmas is to remind us to believe in miracles!"

It's good to be reminded get off the "endless merry-go round."

True enough. Quiet time, reflect, breathe. Gather oneself. Appreciate.

Believe in miracles, believe in something greater than oneself.
