Glaucoma laser treatment (the attacks were very painful)

Ok so I cannot lie,
For laser op I was terrified.
Hard to explain how you feel,
When I read before the op.
It was best to have a hearty meal,
As I said I cannot lie.
Isn't that what they gave,
To a condemned man before he dies.

Now while I felt a little floored,
Opposite where I was having it done,
Was the word MATRON written on the door.
When suddenly a Hattie Jacques lookalike,
Came out heading towards her station.
It reminded me of her with kennieth Williams,
As he said those inmortal word's OH MATRON.
It's a shame to see great talents gone,
It's funny how life is such a carry on.

With no paperwork and short notice for the op,
Was why my mind was in a bit of a fret.
So I read about laser treatment on the Internet,
That didn't stop my mind from doing flip flops.
The treatment from miss wong was right,
The treatment doesn't grate on my eyesight.
The pressures dropped in both my eyes,
I'm pleased to say I'm better now.

Well, I said I'd give this a read Alan, and as usual you bring your wry humour to what 'in my eyes' would be a most uncomfortable procedure - but glad it i's all done now!
