Enough Is Enough
Amid moments of despairI find peace in the presence
Of poetic peers
Where substance is on display
As each of us exercise
Our Artistic grace
In those moments
Of like minded sanity
I make attempts
To absolve my demented
Rants of ferocious anxiey
There seems to be no end
To extreme demands
for those claiming
To declare expectation of new norms
That are recapturing a time
Where power was in the hands
Of the few, mostly male
Mostly casting a color of white sand
It was taken for granted this was chaste
When it merely lay hiding in plain sight
New tactics, a new time
The same outcome as long ago
Where only the few had rights
The few had means to order
The few had sources of wealth
The few dictated futures
Of increasingly wretched demands
To abuse anyone who dares to disobey
So that the devisive order of wicked
Deception is now the new truth
Is now the antonym for veracity
So today and days forward
I stand amid my peers
And at least for now
Say to a crowd of common faith
Enough is enough
