Cast like a fisherman's line
Awaiting a bite, a pull
From listening ears caught
Consumed in temptation
Innocent belief in meaning
Assumes there is no ill intent
As the Line is returned slowly
Towards a sending messenger
Where hope is sustained
Of an imminent catch and release
Where manipulated hooks
Are removed or a snapped line
Ends the scheming smoothness
Released but attached in thought
From words meant to attach
A subliminal element
Receipts meant to survive
Subconscious desires ascend
Waiting for a rebirth of thought
Still caught by a disappearing plot
Where awareness is released
Awareness that impacts belief
Mindful of hope or dispair
Transcending the lost time
Time relived in memories defined
As conversations captured
Archived with accented intent
Whispering silence succumbed
To thoughts implanted
By a fisherman’s catch with no release

Words spend time in memoryCast like a fisherman's line
