Taking Sameen’s critique

Catch And Release (revised)

Words spend time in memory
Cast like a fisherman's line
Awaiting a bite, a pull
From listening ears caught
Consumed in temptation

Innocent belief in meaning
Assumes there is no ill intent
As the Line is returned slowly
Towards a sending messenger
Where hope is sustained
Of an imminent catch and release

Where manipulated hooks
Are removed or a snapped line
Ends the scheming smoothness
Released but attached in thought
From words meant to attach
A subliminal element

Lines of words meant to survive
Hooks are cast subconsciously
Waiting for a rebirth of thought
Caught with lines that appear

Released when they are needed
Where awareness is unaware
Of a seeded pond of thought
That transcends lost time
Time relived in memories defined

Archived with accented intent
Whispering silence succumbed
To thoughts implanted
By a fisherman’s catch with no release
