Pastel Memories
Perfect Images Captured for eternityFramed with dreams of perfection
Colored by reality
Come closer to fruition
Or fall as victims of attrition
The mental Images are jaded over time
Yet the portraits never fade
Hope still exists
As the memories conflict with the perfect likeness
That spark ongoing comparisons
Controversies and conflict at war with perceptions
Fighting feelings of despair
The battle rages inside
Churning like a whirlwind's
That seems to have no end
An ongoing test of the hearts resilience
Measured by orders of three
Like a roulette wheel spinning
Waiting for the number to come upp
We pause patiently praying for a win
Each turn an event
Until our heart is spent
Then we try again
