Just a feeling? Intuition?

APOGEE, IF YOU WILL

I have a feeling that today
Might be a turning point
In my heartstring swinging.
I'm at the apogee if you will
And from hereon it is all downhill.
The question is, at the
point of equilibrium
Will I continue swinging

Or will I remain totally

And absolutely

Still?

If so, a safe point to jump off

Into another dimension.

I liked the image of the point of equilibrium, the moment of stasis when the swing can go forward or back, but as we know it cannot remain still, though we may wish it so. So, for me a profound meditation on our transience. Thanks Allen.

An interesting notion, a consideration of mortality, too?

A poem that captures a poignant moment of reflection, where movement meets stasis and turning points blur into uncertainty. The apogee becomes a symbol of tension—both possibility and impending descent—posing profound questions about inertia and transformation. Its quiet introspection resonates deeply with the search for equilibrium and escape.
