Freestyle poem about falling stars. A metaphor about people and heroes who also fall from pedastals of glory and fall back down to Earth and the humility that follows.

Falling Star

Falling Star
Once was
Twinkling like
The others
Now is falling
From Heaven
Going straight
To Hell?

Falling Star
Beautifully Tragic
Tragically Beautiful
Crash and Burn
Burn and Crash
Minutes before
Was twinkling like the others
Now screaming in fire

Falling Star
Falling from a pedestal
A pedestal of glory
Angels fell once too
Do you remember?
And if angels and stars fall
People can
How can falling be so beautiful?

Falling Star
Why do we wish on you?
Obviously you
Epitomize a broken
Dream.
Crashing and burning
Screaming in the fire
Why do I wish on you?

Twinkle Twinkle
Little Star
How I wonder
Where you are
Up above
The world so high
Like a diamond
In the sky. Falling now.

Falling Star
Twinkle Twinkle
No more
Fire, burn, ash
Forevermore
Down to Earth
Planet of fallen stars (heroes and angels also)
Welcome.

Falling Star,
Why do I wish on you?

Graceful, pretty,
Breathtaking in glory
Rainbow sparkles in starry sky
To earth...
