I am not sure, but listening to Joni Mitchell singing Night Ride Home, I started writing this such as it is.
Of a mind numbing melody
Traces across whiskers
Of a late night parody
Twisting mental graceful notes
Into a lovers grasp of tone
Kissing gently through tropes
Of stories told over songs
While gently swaying with history
Meant to to give peaceful hearts
A time of blissful allegory
Singed by events suffered apart
For a moment the time line
Of life begins again
Teasing images of sanguine
Wishes whisking sublime
Images past traumatic scenes
Ever present during awakening
Hours reliving a wistful epiphany
For a time when life is not surviving
Spectral murmurs of phrases
Of hurt and anger are appeased
At least for a time and place
That for now means peace
